Valerie Will POV
My eyes grew wide in shock as I looked out from the window and saw that Jamal punched Patrick. I had to step out quickly and intervene before it would get worse.
But by the time I got outside, I let out a relieved sigh knowing that Patrick didn’t retaliate. I watched for a moment as they argued with each other.
They didn’t even notice that I was standing behind them.
I couldn’t hold back a scoff. “I can’t believe you, Jamal.” I shook my head disappointedly as they both turned around to look at me.
Patrick didn’t say anything, he just kept on walking to his car.
“I’m sorry.” Jamal apologized, reaching out to my hands.
I yanked my hand away from him. “Don’t touch me!” I said, taking a step back. “I can’t believe you would punch him in front of my house. What if Liam had seen you?”
