I blinked repeatedly in disbelief. The last thing I wanted to do was fight back. “What was that for?” I asked, placing my hand on my jaw.

“I told you to stay away from her but you didn’t listen.” He said through gritted teeth. “Now you’ve hurt her and want to take her son away from her.”

I couldn’t hold back a scoff. “I know you’ve been playing father of the year, but Liam is my son. Not yours.” I replied, letting out a frustrated sigh.
