Chapter 71

Riley's POV 

I heard footsteps coming towards the room. At first, I thought it was Ash alone, but then I heard the distinct sound of someone else coming. That meant he was not the only one. I chalked it up to him and Jane coming towards me because they were the only two people in the house with me.

 I was fed up a bit. I know I had told them I needed help, but I wanted a time alone, a time for myself alone. I was not ready to stand up. I was not ready to move. The only reason why I got up from my bed every day was to use the toilet. The light was becoming too bright and I had to put it off. That wasn't me, it was Ash. Ash was the one who had noticed it and then put it off.
