Chapter 22. Jocelyn and Max's Wedding Day

This may be Annastacia's first time day off after years of working as a surgeon at Wyndham International Hospital. Doctors Harry Laurens and Adeline Thomson replaced Anna's shift for the next 2 days. Today is Jocelyn's proposal ceremony, while tomorrow is the wedding vows-taking ceremony which will be followed by a simple wedding banquet in the Brighton family's backyard. 

The group from Max Brury's family arrived exactly at 10:00 AM. Max's parents, Max's older brother, and Max's aunts and uncles, who were 4, came to the Brighton family's house. 

Mr. Philip Brighton and Mrs. Elaine Brighton with Ezra, the eldest son of the Brighton family welcomed the Brury family entourage and ushered them into the family room which had been arranged with rented chairs for the meeting. Meanwhile, Anna accompanied Jocelyn to her room to wait until the conversation about the marriage proposal was approved by both families.
