Chapter 210. Ancient Dragon Ancestry

After a prolonged search, apart from retracing his steps, no alternative route presented itself.

He then lowered himself, sitting down to examine the iron door more closely.

The door looked ancient, untouched for what might have been ages. Rusty patches dotted its surface. Yet, something about it made Benjamin uneasy.

Though the tunnel had been largely safe, he had occasionally encountered mutated creatures. They were weak and diminutive. Compared to other places, this tunnel was eerily clean. Especially since for the past half kilometer, there was no trace of any mutated being, not even a sign of their presence. This made Benjamin even more suspicious of the iron door before him, prompting him to be on guard.

Yet, after a half-day's observation, there was no discernible discovery. With reluctant resignation, Benjamin exhaled a heavy sigh.

"Alright, if it's meant to be discovered, it will be. Perhaps a little peek won't hurt."
