“What exactly are you playing at, Mark?” The man asked, clearly angry over something.

“What’re you talking about, Dad? I already told you that the tow truck would come get the car tomorrow,” Mark responded, feigning ignorance at what his father was referring to.

He knew his father had recognized the pendant and was now angry at him. He could not say how or what exactly he was thinking, but he knew it wasn’t going to be good.
