Something was wrong. She could feel it the moment Dom walked into the room.
“Finally, we’re set to go,” Tiana sighed. “What took you so long?”
But Dom did not answer. Instead, his gaze was fixed on Zara.
“Is everything okay?” She walked to him and placed a hand on his arm. Her heart was sinking with dread. Something told her that he knew, but how? He turned to her slowly, a very distant look in his eyes.
“We need to talk.”
“Okay. When we get home… We need to pick up things for Zara from the house first…”
“Tiana, can you please pick a few things for Zara and have them sent over to mine later in the day?” he cut her off.
“Uh, okay.” Tiana responded, a confused look passing between her and Trevor.
“Take Zara for a couple of hours too, please. Geneva and I have business to attend to briefly. We can’t leave the child all alone at home.”
