Chapter 43. Finding Edwina

Evan was shocked for a second, but he heaved a sigh of relief when he saw through his special eyes that Edwina was still breathing.

" I must say, for a person as ambitious as you, you have no taste!" Ms. Kurringle said and turned around to face Edwina's figure on the altar. She dipped her hand in her robe and brought out a huge syringe. She raised the syringe up and observed it with a crazed smile on her face.

" What are you doing?" Evan couldn't help but ask as he quickly drew near Ms. Kurringle. 

Ms. Kurringle rolled her eyes and shook her glance towards Evan to shoot the latter an accusatory stare. Evan looked away but still persisted with his inquiry, he wanted to know just what Ms. Kurringle was doing.

" Fine! I'm extracting the true blood so as to help you get rid of Sonomork's will of revival that had been instilled in you. Happy now?" She explained while jerking her head from side to side.

Evan was silent after hearing this and just nodded
