Chapter 62. Friends and Family

As Edwina finally laid eyes on her parents at the parent's evening, a surge of emotions washed over her like a tidal wave. Her heart fluttered with a mix of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. 

In her mother's embrace, a wide smile spread across her face, illuminating her eyes with sheer delight. 

" Hahaha! girl, I bet your mother didn't look this beautiful when she was your age!" She heard her father say and Edwina couldn't help but break from her mother's embrace. 

Her steps quickened, each filled with a sense of longing and anticipation as she approached her father who also walked towards her in a calm gait.

 His proud gaze met hers, and in that moment, Edwina's heart swelled with an overwhelming sense of love and belonging. It was a magical reunion, a beautiful moment that she would never forget. She jumped into her father's embrace as though she were still 8.
