" Edwina what's with the pendant you have on?" Edwina's father Leonidas, asked. He'd noticed this on her neck for a while now. He'd only chosen to not speak about it earlier because her friends were present.

Guadalupe also frowned when she remembered this fact and couldn't but think that perhaps, Edwina already has a lover. 

' If so, this is an opportunity...' both Edwina's father and mother thought at the same time. 

Edwina touched a hand to the necklace as she lowered her head to think before saying,

" This was given to me by Gregory, to protect me. He'd said that this was handed to him by his mother and that now it was mine to keep" Edwina stated in a tone that spoke of how much she cherished the pendant necklace and Gregory's sweet words. She smiled smally and couldn't help but think about that time once again.

Leonidas and Guadalupe exchanged glances but didn't say anything as they just smiled wryly. It was just as they'd prior thought.
