Chapter 7. As Fate May Have It Be

Edwina heaved a deep sigh as she stepped out of the principal’s office. It had been a terrible experience in there and she could only wonder how it had all come about to be that way. She didn’t know Gregory more than the fact that they were supposedly childhood friends, and arranged mates. She could barely even recognize him by his scent and his face as he was now a different person from what she could remember. it's been quite a long while since she saw him after all 

However, he was still similarly hot blooded like in the past. Nonetheless, Edwina thought he’d grown to be a fine man quite considerably.

But then, was he really still stuck in all of the childhood promises made by their parents in their selfishness, without his and her candid consent? She never thought anyone would still want that they stayed mates knowing her previous condition and definitely not now when she was cured as well.
