Chapter 56. The Cross to Bear
If there was a more astonishing revelation worse than this, Ellie's wits would certainly be beyond at sixes and sevens.
Perplexity shrouded her mind as though a storm had fallen onto her shoulders. She wobbly walked to the pavement while collecting the emotional fragments that greeted her with utter distress.
When she took notice of the cab passing by, Ellie waved her arms as a signal gesture. Soon, as it stopped beside her, she got in, telling the driver to drive straight to the hotel where they were staying.
It was then when she propped her hand to the side of her cheeks where rivulets of tears fell down from her eyes. What the hell was she thinking? Why was this happening to her? Burying her face into her palms, she grunted as the thought dangled in her mind of how she would be able to tell this to her parents.
To begin with, she didn't even know who the hell the father was! She felt so stupid like an idiot who was so careless to let herself come
