Chapter 17

Emily’s POV

When I had finished cleaning the house, I called Andrew to come and pick me up. He arrives a few minutes later and we go home. When we arrive at the villa, we enter the house and I notice that Elisa was not there. It’s weird, she’s always on the couch watching movies. Where did she go?

“So? What surprise did you want to make me, princess?” asked my darling.

“Well, I managed to get your sister’s jewelry back.”

“Is it true?” he asked me, very happy.

“Yes.” I answered him, taking the bag where the jewels were to give it to him.

When he opens the bag and sees the jewelry, I see a tear running down his cheek which I wipe away with my hand.

“I can’t believe you managed to get them. Thank you so much, princess.”

“You’re welcome.”

He puts all the jewels on the table and counts them when suddenly he frowns.

“What is happening?” I asked him, worried.

“A necklace is missing.”
