Natasha’s POV

“Good day to you!”

I smile at the beautiful couple coming out of the restaurant, hand in hand. They are so cute! I would like to live a beautiful love story too, but I gave up after that day.

I look at my watch one last time and sigh when I see that Steven hasn’t arrived yet. What the hell is he doing? I prepared everything for his eighteenth birthday! The cake, the dinner and the decor. My parents, who are traveling, allowed me to prepare this birthday, since they know Steven very well. My father doesn’t like him too much, but he tries hard for me.

I’ve been waiting for him for more than five hours now. He was supposed to be here at 6 p.m. and it’s 10 p.m. He does not respond to my messages and calls. I hope he didn’t have an accident on the road.

I snap out of my thoughts when my phone suddenly rings. It’s a message from Nicolas, Steven’s best friend.

“Hey! Steven is with me!”

I ask him where he is
