Chapter 63

Mark’s POV

I wake up feeling something tickle my nose. I slowly open my eyes and jump when I see a little girl in front of me. Maya. She starts laughing, and I smile back. She is cute, this little one. I straighten up and massage my neck. I will never sleep on a couch again!

“Are you finally awake?” said a deep voice.

I turn my head and see Andrew.

“You know, the next time you sleep here, take a free room instead of sleeping on the sofa,” he said.

“I didn’t know I could do it, and your men kept watching me with their guns in their hands.”

He lowers himself and takes Maya in his arms, then kisses her temple.

“By the way, your phone rang last night, but I did not answer.”

“Oh yeah?”

I pick up my phone and frown when I see I have a missed call from Natasha. Shit! Natasha! I was supposed to come home last night to hang out with her, but I fell asleep because that jerk Andrew passed out and didn’t wake up quickly.
