“So, how’s life been?”

Nathan immediately asked as soon as we both settled down on our table for dinner.

Their meeting that lasted almost 5 hours had just finished, and saying that he was famished, he invited me inside the dining hall, which was only specifically for the visitors of Vamos for the leaders’ meeting.

I looked around the place, kind of wary of the other big presence and Alphas that were around, dining. And well, I was still in uniform as one of the night’s servers.

“Are you not allowed to dine with me here? We can find another place if you’re uncomfortable.” I immediately shook my head when he noticed my wariness. “No, it’s okay,” I settled on my seat and focused on his suit-clad figure. “I guess I just feel kind of awkward since I’m in uniform and am still supposed to be serving instead of eating and chatting.”
