Chapter 26. Genuinely Happy
“Sabrina Ringwood?” He confirmed, looking at my face intently as my heart quickened in pace.
“N-Nathan?” I whispered in shock and a mixture of emotions.
He nodded excitedly. His familiar charming smile that brightens up his entire face plastered all over the place.
“It’s me, Sabbie!” He suddenly exclaimed and engulfed me in a hug.
I didn’t move as surprise hit me. My eyes were still wide as my hands froze in the air.
“Y-you’re really Nathan?” I asked, dumbstrucked of his presence.
The last time I saw him, I was still 14. He was shorter than me, thinner and had glasses. He was my neighbor, a son of a Beta that died young and had grown with his grandmother and mother. We had a lot in common. One, being children of single parents; two, the love for arts and books; three, the love for fighting and training with the warriors in the pack even when we were too young to join them.
