Chapter 135. Sick Confrontation

There was another moment of silence in the room when Ryder walked out. He did not say where he was going and no one bothered to ask him anything.

There was a chair beside the hospital bed and Jane sat on it. She took Isabella’s free hand as Alex was holding the other.

“What did the doctor say?” Dave asked Alex the question she had been dying to ask and Alex sighed.

“He said she had been consuming a substance that was meant to induce the pregnancy,” he told them and Jane gasped.

“Oh my goodness,” she exclaimed and looked at Isabella on the bed. Truly, the pregnancy was no longer there. She was just noticing since she entered the room.

“How did this happen?” Dave asked him and he shrugged.

“I have no idea.”

Dave looked at Isabella again before turning back to him.

“So what is her condition now?”

“Struggling for her life. It was a very dangerous attempt.”
