Chapter 138. Realization

For hours, Jane, Dave and Alex stayed in the hospital room with Isabella, barely speaking any words to each other for the whole day. When it was approaching night Jane had to say what she had been thinking.

“Why don’t you guys go home while I stay here with her?” She suggested and they turned to look at her. It did not seem that they wanted to do that with the looks on their face, especially Alexander and she sighed. She had to push further to try to convince them.

“You have been here since last night. You need to go home and freshen up and maybe get something to eat. Besides, you’ve got blood stains dried up on your clothes,” she said reasonably and they both looked down at their clothes. They had no choice because she made a point but Alex was still adamant.

“She is actually right,” Dave told him. “We should go home and come back as soon as we can.”
