Chapter 33. Let's Keep It a Secret
Trisha and Dalett exchanged glances, a sense of apprehension evident on their faces, before turning to face Selena. “Oh no. She is doing that smile again. I know that smile,” Biting her fingers, Dalett uttered.
“Is this a bad smile or a good one?” Trisha asked, trying to gauge the situation.
Dalett whispered, “Bad.”
“We’ll steal my mother’s credit card tonight, and I’ll finally get a new phone,” she declared.
“Or perhaps you could just use the one she bought for you? Simple as that,” Trisha suggested.
“Trisha, it’s being tapped. How many times do I have to tell you that?” Selena exclaimed.
“But we’re not sure of that yet,” Trisha responded.
“Well, I am,” Selena said, fixing her gaze on the ceiling from her pillow. “It’s going to be a boring day,” she groaned. “We could have just gone to school.”
