Chapter 32. A Bait

“What is causing you to feel so down?” Selena asked after Estry sighed. 

“That does not matter to you.”

“Do not tempt me; you know you are using my body.”

Ignoring her, Estry took a step toward Trisha. Estry turned to face the utterly unperturbed Trisha. She hated having to help them, but she had to do as Selena said. Selena is her only hope of finding Theodore. 

She carried Dalett and Trisha on her back as she exited the lab. 

When Selena woke up the next morning, she found herself naked on her bed. Dalett and Trisha fell asleep on the couch. She groaned in pain, trying to remember how she got there, but her memory of the fight between the two brown werewolves that had attacked them was gone. 

“Wake up.” Selena gave Dalett and Trisha a tap. “School.” 

Trisha sighed and put her head back on the pillow after taking a moment to raise it off it. "I am exhausted. I am not sure I want to attend school.”
