Chapter 37. Blurry Paw

A woman in a lab coat entered the lab and was startled to see a silver knife on the floor with blood all around it. She walked up to it and took it in her hands. She then heard a voice and turned around, still holding the knife. “Doc. Ken. I found this on the floor.” She showed the knife to him.

“Does that look like blood?” When he asked, she responded with a nod. As he approached her, he scoffed. “Did you see it in the lab?”

She gave a nod. “Yes. Not for long. Before you even entered the house. What should we do?” She inquired.

“First, return the knife to its original location. If something happened here and a detective came to investigate, your fingerprint would be on the knife.” She immediately threw the knife to the ground and wiped her hand with her clothing. “We should look over the CCTV footage.”

They went to the security room and requested last night’s footage. They were shown it, but no information was found. The security guard stayed until the end,
