Chapter 56. The Ice House

Pulling the car into the garage, Isabel turned off the engine. It had been a long day for her. Attending the meeting with the councils and making sure she stayed there until they were done which took close to 7 hours.

She sighed as she reached for her bag, which had been placed on the passenger seat. Because Isabel was a rank 3, she was in charge of weapons, and home was the last place she wanted weapons. She could take the risk of meeting her children in order to learn more about the family's job. 

She checked the time as she closed the door behind her. Selena was already in bed at 10:00 p.m., exactly as she had expected.
