Chapter 72. The Return of Tarika

“What are you up to, Alpha?” Tyler inquired as soon as he walked into the library and noticed Titus standing atop a ladder. 

Titus reached for a book and tossed it to Tyler to catch. “They are for Selena,” he said as he turned to face Tyler. “At times, I think accepting her to join our pack is still a dream. I am curious what you said to her to change her decision. I was thinking it would be difficult to persuade her to come here.” 

"Selena appears to be a gentle person. If you were to speak to her harshly, she would want to rebel. When speaking with someone like her, use a calm voice. If you do that, she will see you as someone she can rely on.” 

“Hmm... I think you know her better than I do." Why didn’t the moon goddess just make her your mate instead of mine?" 

Tyler approached him and grabbed the next book Titus tossed at him. He raised an eyebrow at Titus as he turned the book over to read the contents. "Do you want to give it to her?
