Chapter 85. Burning Fury

Lily’s POV

I stormed out of the house, my heels clicking loudly on the pavement. My blood was boiling, my chest tight with the sheer magnitude of my anger. Ethan had walked out on me—on the very first day of our marriage. He had the audacity to leave me standing there like a fool, humiliated and seething.

I had been willing to overlook everything; the mediocre wedding, his attitude, everything. I had been willing to strip off my clothes and let him fuck me till we both forgot about everything.

I was even willing to take control, to ride him to oblivion. I was willing to do anything he needed so he didn’t wake up thinking about that vile harlot. But what had he done? He had left.

I didn’t care where he’d gone or what excuse he had. I was going to find him and drag him back if I had to. This wasn’t just about his behavior tonight; it was about everything. His apathy, his indifference, the way he had looked through me as though I were nothing.
