Chapter 10

"It's okay," Hadley answered, bored knowing Maurice wasn't asking because he feels like it. 

Maurice looked around the slumped shoulder of the woman in front of him and he wondered why he felt like she was shouldering a heavy load.

"I am sure my sister-in-law would find her way out by using her card as your wife," Carolina says knowing Maurice hates it when someone acts dirty like that, she was literally digging a put for Hadley.

"What? Did you do that?" Maurice asked his voice grave but Hadley didn't even give him a glance.

"I hope I can do that but I don't want some crazy girl on my back. I heard you are one of the most eligible bachelors in town? I love my head so I would keep it intact," Hadley says and at that time the elevator opened and Hadley stepped out.

"Then goodbye Mr. Elliot and ..," Hadley trailed looking at Carolina without mentioning her name till the elevator door closed up.

Hadley sighed heavily when she saw the door closed
