Inside a not-so-spacious office designed elegantly with a table and three desks, Hadley was seen standing upright in front of her supervisor as she gets herself busy with work not minding the girl that was standing in front of her.
Hadley looked at her supervisor that was not sparing her a glance and she felt the urge to roll her eyes.
She decided to use the time that she was being ignored to think about what happened at the mall.
If Maurice had not come to the mall at that time, it was likely for her not to miss her things and by this time she might be the one that was going to be standing in front of the strict-looking woman.
God, I hate this life, Hadley lamented knowing her life in the countryside might not be peaceful but at least she was not walking eggshells around anyone.
