Lucas grips the steering wheel tight, his knuckles damn near white, and lets out a deep breath. “It’s none of your fucking business.”
Mark throws his head back and laughs like an idiot. A full-blown, body-shaking laugh. “Calm down, man. I was just curious. I just wanna know what she was like. Was she kind? Feisty? Homely? Like, what made our dad detest her?”
And just like that, the car screeches to a halt right in the middle of the damn road.
