Sarah's POV

I heard the wardens chattering loudly, when I got to realize that Chris was going to be moved to a protective.

"But how do they know about that?" Them I realized that they were wardens and not inmates.

I stormed into detective James' office, my face red with anger.

"What do you mean Chris is being moved to a safe house?" I demanded. "He is a convicted criminal, and he needs to serve his time like everyone else!"

He leaned back in his chair, a calm expression on his face. " Sarah, Chris is a special case.. well sought of, because he was almost killed." He said.

I narrowed my eyes, my mind racing with skepticism.

"I don't believe it. He is just trying to wriggle out of his sentence. You're being soft on him, James."

He sighed with his expression unchanging.

"Sarah, I assure you, this is not a matter of being soft. Chris is in real danger, and we need to take steps to protect him. Besides I have evidence
