The door to Ryan’s office opened, and his secretary walked in. She found him lost in thought and gently tapped his table.

“Boss, the meeting is in five minutes,” she said, and he smiled.

“I will meet you guys there,” he told her. He didn’t understand why Audrey’s parents were doing nothing about their daughter’s case. He knew Sebastian was a crazy guy and could cut the deal, but why would they be scared to talk when their daughter had been accused of what she knew about?

He stood up and went to the conference room, where he met his staff waiting for him. They all stood up and greeted him, then sat back down. He started the meeting, but he couldn’t concentrate.
