Chapter 40
The door leading to Audrey’s room opened, and Henry walked in. He pecked her cheek, and she slowly opened her eyes to see Henry smiling at her.
“Good morning,” Henry said and sat beside her.
“How are you feeling? You’re good now, right?” He asked.
“What are you doing in my room early in the morning? Shouldn’t you be on your way to work?” She asked.
“I want to make sure you’re okay, and I also want to say hi to the baby,” Audrey kept staring at him with disgust as he kept talking and smiling like a fool.
“I need my privacy,” She said and stood up to go to the bathroom, but he hugged her from behind.
“Let me go,” She said.
“I am sorry; I wasn’t in my right state of mind. I was just scared about the fake pregnancy she told me about,” Henry said.
“What! Fake pregnancy?” Audrey asked.
“She wasn’t pregnant; it was fake. She lied because she wanted my attention,” Henry explained.
“Then give her all the attention she wants,” Audrey
