Madelyn kept laughing as Henry rushed out of the house. She told him Maya wasn’t pregnant, but he refused to believe her. He drove to the hospital and requested to see the doctor in charge. He was told the doctor was still taking care of Maya, so he had to wait. He didn’t want to wait; he wanted the doctor to come out and tell him the baby was safe. “How is she? Is she okay?” he asked calmly.
