First Night

Rai couldn't stop himself from glancing every minute at where Amaya was nibbling and eating peacefully. The way she looked so serene while watching the screen with genuine interest captivated him. It was easy to admire her features here, silhouetted perfectly in the dim light. He couldn't stop looking at her, and she seemed completely unaware of his gaze. He preferred it that way, as he didn’t know how she might react if she caught him. It was better she remained oblivious so he could continue studying her.

She finally turned and looked at him. Rai couldn’t help himself—he leaned closer. To his surprise, she did the same, as if their actions were controlled by something greater than themselves.
