Chapter 24. To Get Laid

Wren POV

“Oh my god, shush,” I whisper-yell, laughing as I hug my little bag to my chest, running towards the silhouette of the car.

Adrenaline surges through my body, my heart racing.

Judi giggles with a hand over her mouth. “We look like thieves.”

I giggle some more, slipping into the Uber out front, and Judi gets in with me.

The laughter tumbles out of our lips loudly as the driver pulls out of the club house.

“If Ray finds out, I’m dead.” Even as I say that, I can’t help the thrill that lines my veins.

Judi nods. “Yes, you are. Although I’m more worried about your sexy bodyguard.”

“Who? Ezra?” I scoff.

“He’s yummy, Wren. Can I hook up with him?”

My lips part, then close…then part again and close.

How do I respond to that?

Do I want her to hook up with him?

If I say yes, Ezra would definitely hop on board when she throws herself at him. Why do I care though?

I shrug. “Do whatever
