"How did you get past the guards?" he shouts.
"Oh! I knocked them out," he replies with a mischievous grin.
I am shocked, but I do not turn around because I do not want him to trip and fall. "How? You are wasted."
"Getting drunk does not mean I have lost the power to ruin men. And girls for that matter—you should have seen the pub girls. They were worn out."
I push him up on a stool as we walk into the restaurant's kitchen.
"What do you mean they were exhausted?"
He mocks it a little too much; my question is not funny.
