Chapter 19. Soft Moans

"How about a last dance, Miss Raven?" I suggest with a playful grin.

"To my sister and the king!!" someone shouts. It's Zave. I see him chug down a drink in mere seconds.

"I don't think so. How about a breath of fresh air?" Chantel replies.

"You read my mind, darling." I respond with a wink.

We make our way towards the gardens, leaving the lively atmosphere of the ballroom behind. The cool night air is a welcome relief from the crowded and heated space we just left.

We start to walk to the doors, greeting people on our way out. The corridor is empty just like we had predicted it would be. No one uses these doors to leave the ballroom; only the royal couple does.

Which means only Chantel and I can enter this hallway.

My guards are going to be here in under ten minutes, giving me enough time to kill Chantel. Laurence will open the doors to the room, and the people will see me
