Chapter 266. To My Future Bride

I wake up feeling shocked and out of place. The sun's direct rays sear my eyes. I glance aside, attempting to hide, only to be confronted with my own sun.

Lexcis is still asleep, but he has a grin on his face, and his brows are not furrowed as they were yesterday. I snuggle closer to him, feeling his hand on my back reassuring me. I reach up and brush my palm across his cheek. I can't help but grin when I recall where I am and who I am with.

Lexcis is snoring practically constantly. I've never heard him snore before, and it's actually rather sweet. I bend down and press a little kiss to his cheek. My hands glide all over his face; I touch my thumb beneath his eye, and then I notice him stir slightly.

He shifts to his side and faces me entirely. His eyes are still closed, and the smile on his face is still extremely noticeable. His jaw isn't tightened, and his entire visage appears relaxed.
