"Just do it, okay?" I implored.
"Fine," Laurence replied with a resigned tone.
"And the other thing?" I pressed.
"How long?" Laurence sighed, giving up on trying to convince me otherwise.
"Six days," I confirmed.
"I can arrange that," Laurence assured.
"Thank you. She needs this," I emphasized.
Laurence rolled his eyes, which was his equivalent to a smile. "You not only need but also deserve this. Just be careful," he warned kindly.
"I got this," I affirmed.
There was, however, something that had been on my mind for ages, something I had inquired of Laurence to look into but he couldn't do much in Revia.
"And Laurence, whenever you have the time, check into the written orders, injunctions, anything that was given out during the war. Check specifically for the name Ambrose," I requested.
