Chapter 395. You’re a Liar
Chantel Aeden Revia
"You're a liar, Arthur," I assert, my voice firm and unwavering.
He frowns, his brows knitting together in confusion. "Oh?" he responds, a hint of defensiveness in his tone.
"I don't think the story went the way you said it did," I continued, my gaze steady, challenging him to refute my accusation.
Something flashes over his face, a flicker of guilt or perhaps realization, and I know I'm right.
"If you left the room, how did you know he was crying? How did you know she was begging him to leave? You wouldn't. Not unless you weren't standing right in front of the door," she probed further.
"Shut up," Arthur spat, clearly rattled by her line of questioning.
Chantel chuckled, a dark, malicious sound. "Oh, you begged her not to do it, didn't you?"
"Shut the fuck up," Arthur retorted, his patience wearing thin.
