"With—" I urge, noticing Zave's still lingering presence, his expression a mix of confusion and anticipation.

"Fuck," she curses, her frustration palpable. "With Zave."

I quickly peek over her shoulder, catching Zave's widened gaze. God, he's so dense.

"He's just always been beside me. He's helped me and I just couldn't help it. It just happened. One day, I woke up and all I could think about was him. It's worse than it was with Kaan. We were friends too but I don't know, Chantel. Everything is so different with Zave. I can't
