Chapter 396. Pain & Forgiveness

All I feel from him is anger. He yanks me up, pushing me against the wall as he starts to unbutton my dress shirt.

"You're fucking insane," he says into my mouth, his voice laced with frustration and pain, his hands working deftly on the buttons.

I'll take it. I'll take it all.

His pain, his hurt, everything.

Lexcis continues to kiss me, slamming his hips onto me before even undressing me. I groan when his teeth sink into my bottom lip. I thread my fingers into his hair, telling him it's okay. Telling him I'll take his pain.

But he pulls back, shaking his head as he unwraps me from around him. Taking a few steps back. "No. Not like this. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Lexcis. It's okay, angel." I step towards him, wrapping my arms around his waist, burying my face in his chest. He places his hand in my hair, apologizing once more.
