Happy shouts combined with surprised gasps fill the dining room.

"I'M BECOMING AN AUNT?" Veronica's voice is so loud that it startles the shit out of me.

"Yes, you are!" I shout back while still smiling and laughing.

The guards bow down to us, congratulating us on the royal baby. The helpers smile and clap while Mrs. and Mr. Vaughn quickly make their way over to us to felicitate us.

They leave as quickly as they react. Leaving only our stunned family behind. None of them know how to react.

Well, Zave does. He runs to me as if he's hearing the news for the very first time, he hauls me into his arms and hugs me tightly. So much so that Lexcis whacks him, "Careful with her!"
