Chapter 760. Keep This Safe

His assistant, The Lovely Laurel, is cuffing his hands and she's about to throw away the key. But she doesn't. She walks over to- oh god she's walking over to me. She does a sweet curtsy, ever so politely, and then hands me the key, "Keep this safe." she says before rushing to the magician's side.

"He must have a spare right?" Lexcis asks while I shrug and grip the key in the palm of my hand. I decide to safely place it in the pocket of Lexcis's jacket when my hands begin to sweat too much.

The assistant sets the clock and the magician is now drowning in water! He gave himself a time limit of 90 seconds to get out of it. He's excessively tossing and turning and just basically going upside down in the water.

"He has to make it. There are kids here!" I tell Lexcis.

"He might not. You have his key." He notifies me of something that I obviously already knew.
