Chapter 116. Crystal Clear

Hunter’s POV

This Krent pack member was a little different from the ones I had fought; his aura was higher, and the amount of bloodlust I sensed from him was off the charts. He wasn’t an ordinary werewolf.

I quickly retrieved my sword; thankfully, the crystal didn’t dent it. It was still as sharp. I still didn’t know how it managed to bounce off the crystal. I definitely hit it with full force, but something else was at play, most likely magic or something of the sort.

As I stared at him again and he stared back at me, there was something in his cold eyes. I’ve seen eyes similar to these, and he looked at me puzzled but finally asked me a question.

“You… You’re the hunter from the summit, aren’t you?” he asked strangely.

“What of it?” I was sure he heard this from Kiana. Were they also targeting me as well as the wolfsbane?

“You… You fought a werewolf, a sub-Lycan named Darf, didn’t you? What happened to him?” he asked me.
