[Lucius’s flashback continues]

One year later and Lucius was now eighteen, that meant it was time for Byron to assign him a platoon to control, and his father made sure to give him the rowdiest group of werewolves that has ever been seen, this was in hopes that the boy would stop his quest for power and not rise in ranks again.

The group consisted of Robert, the eldest in the platoon, who always stood as an obstacle on Lucius’s path, interrupting attempts to surpass Byron. But later on the dynamic between the two changed into a sort of rivalry and he wanted Lucius to mature because of the respect he had for Byron.

Beside him stood Baze, harboring a grudge against the pack’s main Delta, old man Flamel. Baze wanted to dethrone Flamel and claim the title of the strongest fire werewolf, an ambition that fueled his every move.
