Chapter 59. The Truth
Charlotte’s POV
Ivy spoke up first and said something to Iris that I didn’t expect to hear. “Your father knew about the sacrifice.”
Iris was taken aback by this. “Wait… What… What are you saying?”
“Stop it, Ivy!” Rose intervened.
“No, she needs to know. I’ve held my silence for too long! Sister, your father was aware of the sacrifice, and so did the king and everyone else! The mission to find the healing herbs was a sham!” Ivy confessed.
Iris was wobbly after hearing this, and Trinity quickly held and supported her. “Can we not do this here? Let’s first all get treated for our wounds. You don’t want your Alpha to die out here, right?” she said.
“Trinity?! But…” Iris tried to oppose.
“No buts! Let’s go! Since we aren’t trying to kill each other anymore!” said Trinity, and we all left to our respective villages on the now grounded island. I sometimes forget how mature Trinity can be amongst all of us; she was the oldest, after all.
