“You know you should let her go.”

The sight of Evelyn stopped me dead in my tracks.

Seven years. Seven long, torturous years of nothing but memories to hold onto, and now she was right in front of me.

Breathing. Alive. Just as beautiful as I remembered — maybe even more.

I felt my chest tighten as I struggled to keep my composure. Seeing her wasn’t supposed to feel like this.
