Chapter 78. An Apology

Nathan’s POV

Isabella had always been the best at what she did. If anyone could track Eliza, it was her. I trusted her with this, and she didn’t disappoint.

In less time than I expected, she found Eliza’s location and sent me landmarks to guide my search.

Eliza.

Even saying her name in my mind brought a rush of memories. It had been years—seven long, unforgiving years—since I’d last seen her.

The last time we were together, she’d shattered the illusions I was too blind to notice.

She showed me truths I needed to see, even if they hurt. And then, just like that, she vanished.

Now, I needed to know what had become of her.

Had she been sold too like other Omegas? Did she escape? If she escaped, how did she manage it? More importantly, was she okay?

Those questions disturbed me as I stared at the map Isabella had sent. But beyond all that, I needed answers.
