Chapter 109. Whispers of the Night

I stirred in perplexity in my sleep and immediately jumped up startled. Someone kept calling me. Kept asking me to reach out to her. Who was this? Sometimes I hear her crying, but I do not know who's crying. I mopped off the sweat that had covered my brows.

Today was a different one. I had flashes of things I couldn't understand. Sometimes when I look at the vanity mirror, I see a blurry image, very unclear. I try to refocus, to see the image properly, but I always ended up with a splitting head that makes me feel like ripping off my head.

I sighed as I took in deep breaths. I got off the bed and walked towards the window. I looked outside, watching the green leaves sprout up on the trees. The fruits were growing back in the trees.
