Chapter 110. Trance

Michaelis arrived and together with Skye and Anna we went to the forest were the malicious slaughters were taking place. There was not a single trace of anything in the woods. No dead or living animals. No dead or living humans. The forest was silent except for the occasional tweets of the birds in the trees.

"Sense anything?" I asked Anna. She nodded. She placed her hand on each of the trees as she ran her fingers along the lines. Skye started at her in skepticism as she closed her eyes.

She opened them moments later. "A forbidden and dark energy is around here, I sense it." She said looking around.

"Can you tell where this energy is coming from? Who it belongs to?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "I'm trying to locate it, but it's heavily cloaked with a barrier I can't penetrate to look inside." She said, her hand still on one of the trees. She closed her eyes as she kept talking and I could see her trembling.

"Anna?" I called out to her,
